Stitch, Please!

Hi!

Exciting things are happening for Yellow Rose right now. I am just about to graduate from the Textiles: Craft & Apparel Design Program from the College of the North Atlantic. I was so pleased to find out today that I won the President’s Award of Excellence for my program. I get my diploma on Thursday and on Sunday our graduate exhibition, Stitch, Please! closes at the Anna Templeton Centre. To top off all of the excitement, Yellow Rose will be moving into the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation July 1! It has been such an emotional few weeks and I am very optimistic about my future.

The graduate show, Stitch, Please! has been amazing. We started on June 4 with a fashion show at the LSPU Hall, and opened our gallery exhibition June 7 at the Anna Templeton Centre. The exhibition space is still open until 5pm Sunday June 21. The gallery will close with a solstice tea party! Pretty dresses, fun hats, and fresh teas will help us celebrate the graduates and the start of summer. Here are the opening and closing times so you can come see our space this week!

I have also had the pleasure of organizing Fresh Fish 9 this year with my friend Alexe. Fresh Fish is a one day craft market for emerging craftspeople. This year it will take place at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation from 10-4 pm. You can see the event here: https://yellowrose709.wordpress.com/2015/06/15/stitch-please-2/?preview=true&preview_id=98&preview_nonce=5c63bf6d97 . Yellow Rose will have a table too!

Wondering where you can see Yellow Rose next?

June 20th 10-4 pm: Fresh Fish 9, Quidi Vidi Village Plantation

June 27th 10-4 pm: Some Good Market, Canon Hall

July 1 10-5 pm: Opening day for Yellow Rose at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation
